Ocean County — school district funding

Named FY2027 K–12 aid lines, fall 2025–26 enrollment, and 2023–24 actual spend per pupil from the 2025 Taxpayers’ Guide. District unit — not a municipal property-tax rate bar.

Stafford Twp is the local district (K–6 on the Taxpayers’ Guide). Southern Regional is a different row, the high school district. Toms River Regional is the large K–12 enrollment. A town name is not the district.

Aid year: FY2027 (K-12 state school aid notice, excl. debt service). Enrollment: Fall 2025-2026. Spend: Taxpayers' Guide 2025 release (2023-24 actual total spending per pupil). No later audited total-spending year is published.. Revenue mix: Taxpayers' Guide 2025 Vital Statistics (2023-24). The eight notice lines — equalization, educational adequacy, school choice, transportation, special education, security, vocational expansion, and military impact — are whole dollars and add up to FY27 K–12 aid. Debt service aid is not in that total. Blank cells mean the source file had no figure for that district.

Stafford Twp’s $5,483,451 FY2027 notice is mostly special education ($2,878,951) and transportation ($1,452,985), and it includes school choice ($563,456) and equalization ($149,891). Educational adequacy, vocational expansion, and military impact are $0, $0, and $0. Fall 2025–26 enrollment is 2,735. Spend per pupil of $23,141 is the 2023–24 actual, so it is not this year’s aid divided by this year’s enrollment.

Southern Regional’s $4,757,829 has equalization at $0 and school choice at $0. The high-school district for the same town does not contain the school-choice dollars that sit inside Stafford Twp’s notice. Its larger lines are special education ($3,143,397) and transportation ($1,238,840).

Toms River Regional’s $31,663,676 has equalization at $0. The row is large because special education ($19,053,991), transportation ($8,689,264), and security ($3,920,421) are large, and because fall 2025–26 enrollment is 13,925.

District 7893 is still an unnamed code on this sheet. Its aid cells are blank, and a blank here means the source file had no figure. Spend per pupil of $26,976 is not a name and it is not an aid notice.
